Divorce

Have you noticed how marriage rates are dropping and the divorce rate is steadily rising? Have you ever wondered why? For some reason marriage has been the main topic of my week. Its almost as if where ever I go, people are talking about … And how they are “never going to get married because it doesn’t last any more” Or how “we aren’t happy any more so we’re going to separated” or my favorite “Once we get married, everything is going to change and get better”

What ever happen to ethics people!? If you aren’t happy now, what makes you think you’re going to be happy after you tie the knot? A ring does not change a personality! If you claim to be in love with someone, and are thinking about marriage, the first thing on your mind shouldn’t be “well, if we do get divorced, I can always…” Because if that’s is on your mind now, and you are already looking for an out before you even say “I do” you do not love each other the way you claim you do.

A wise man once said “Once two are married, they unknowingly kill each other, and in doing so, they then give birth to a new life (or a new relationship.) The old relationship is dead and gone, the couple must now work together to start a new one” And guess what! It does take work. If your heart is not willing to be with someone through thick and thin, sickness and in heath don’t get married until your heart is willing.
